Demonstration of a sample data management task for Clyde Pinckney, a former IT engineer looking for a new job.

 

Clyde calls up a close friend, Milton to request some information - he's networking, contacting a friend, and types in his friends name and company details:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Clyde's friend, Milton gives him information on a chap at a company Clyde had his eye on for a while, Great Software Inc (GSI).  Milton knows a person in the engineering department named Frank Benito.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


After entering data about GSI, Clyde goes ahead and fills in data about Frank and makes a phone call.  Filling in the contact history was easy.  Clyde sets up a follow-up date on the 25th, about a week after his initial call using the contact history event screen.  Clyde adds a placeholder position as a potential opportunity at GSI to track his details by adding an event from the contact history screen:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Clyde sends an email to Frank with a resume attachment and records this both in the Contact History screen and assigns the email document he sent to Frank's position information.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Clyde reviewed his data and verified it's accuracy, modifying that he prepared a cover letter and resume as well in the pipeline screen.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Clyde is well on his way to managing his data appropriately.  As shown in this step-by-step demo, he was able to enter data about companies, positions, contacts, and even review his pipeline and assign documents with simplicity and ease.  Managing the entire job sequence is critical, and when Clyde gets that interview phone call, he will know who he's talking to and what topics he should discuss.  He has clear instructions as to what he has to do next on the job search list for this position.
