Netmap Software Unveils the New Gold Standard for Job Seekers

Netmap Software Inc. announced the release of the new CVTracker™ Gold employer relationship management software for job seekers. The software takes a new perspective for job searching instead of using typical internet techniques, CVTracker focuses on building potential employer relationships through targeted personal networking rather than resume distribution services.  Based on a strong sales automation structure, the software's primary goal is to level the playing field for job seekers in today's employer-centric job market.  The software contains business analytic concepts heralded by large scale enterprises and puts these tools in the hands of the average job seeker.

Boston, Massachusetts December 9th, 2003 - Netmap Software announced the release of their new CVTracker GOLD edition software product, extending their product line to include more powerful job seeking tools for the networking job seeker.  The latest edition contains complex measurement techniques for analyzing progress in a targeted networking based job campaign.  Design and organization of a campaign remains a critical component that remains a major hurdle for job seekers according to many career coaches.  "They don't know where to start - or end for that matter" as stated by an executive at a leading career consulting firm in the Boston metro area.

Based on recent statistics from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the national unemployment rate has dropped slightly to 5.9% - remaining almost unchanged since October.  The latest unemployment figures of 57,000 jobs created in November remain dismal.  The figures missed the market expectations of over 250,000 jobs created in the past month.  Many analysts have gone back to the drawing boards to determine the true expectancy of the job market.  Although the number of added jobs is positive, it remains a small and almost insignificant number given that the economic growths that run parallel to employment show much further and faster growth.  "Job seekers are unable to convert their contact bases and leads into actual jobs partially because they do not have organized and consolidated data" says CEO Ananda Chakravarty from Netmap Software.  "It's a completely employer-centric environment, and job seekers have difficulty in keeping track of key pieces of information, e.g. resumes sent to whom or critical contact information.  When this happens, the job seeker is lost in a quagmire.  Not only do they no longer have contact leads that can be converted to potential jobs, but they usually lose sight of their target opportunities.  It's not easy for the average professional to convert themselves from their previous jobs to a full time salesperson in a short time - but that is a necessity in today's economic environment" Mr. Chakravarty continued.

Extension of the CVTrackerTM GOLD edition includes target company definitions and data uploading, a fast parser system for easy data entry, and a potent phase-based action plan development tool to develop specific measurements and achieve them.  The Gold edition contains an easy to use launch guide to help new users become acclimated to the features of the tool.  Several new design concepts were integrated as a result of direct testing and relationships with over 40 beta testers, software reviewers, and initial customers.  The advantages of the improved tool provides a significant edge for job seekers who wish to take advantage of networking as a focus point for landing a job and intend to organize themselves for the job seeking process.

Other important benefits include import/export functionality to XML format files to easily share contact lists and a valuable contact management search functionality to quickly retrieve data stored in the contact management module of the software.  CVTracker GOLD is currently available from the Netmap Software product website, http://www.cvtrack.com and can be downloaded over broadband connections in less than 5 minutes.  The software comes with a 30-day trial period with full functionality and includes a powerful contact management toolkit that allows the job seeker to plan, strategize, and measure their progress in finding a job.

The tool provides the job seeker with fast, reliable access to information about who, what, when, where, and how they interact with contacts, companies, and potential connections within organizations they target. More importantly, the tool does not become a victim of mass mailing methods or spam distribution. Instead, the CVTracker is designed to facilitate building and leveraging the job seeker's personal network to gain an advantage in a tight job market.

"The CVTracker Gold provides substantial improvement in terms of ease of use, more implicit understanding, and service capabilities.  If you are a job seeker and you are having a difficult time tracking your contacts, documents, and organizing your job search, CVTracker is the tool to put your data at your fingertips" says Mr. Chakravarty.  "The CVTracker Gold extends your job campaign and helps you define exactly what you can and will achieve over a specified time period - critical to a successful campaign" he remarks.

"…most of us are going to get reemployed but the time needed to get there can be reduced by more effective management whether it be of more effective personal time management, self discipline, or having the resources more readily available to us." wrote David Moreau, a professional mechanical engineer seeking work.

"The organization of the job campaign is crucial to rapid {emphasis Mr. Chakravarty} success.  CVTracker helps you to differentiate yourself from the pack of over 8.7 million unemployed workers - over 40% in professional and managerial roles.  When you compile your information into something that is at your fingertips, you maintain stronger, more professional relationships with potential employers.  This is where you can show to employers how you recover from adverse conditions - dynamically or sluggishly - and subsequently what you will do when you begin working for them!" mentioned Mr. Chakravarty.
