Software Launches CVTracker Software Tool For Job Seekers
Netmap
Software Inc. launched the CVTracker™ personal network management
software for job seekers. The software takes a new perspective for job
searching instead of the typical internet job searching mechanism by
focusing on the personal network rather than resume distribution
services to establish results for the job seeker. Based on a strong
sales automation structure, the software incorporates Employer
Relationship Management functionality to level the playing field for
job seekers in today's employer-centric environment.
Boston, MA October 16, 2003 - Netmap Software recently announced the
launch of their new CVTracker™ personal network management software for
job seekers. The software tool has been developed over the course of 3
years and more recently has been expanded in the last six months to
include rigorous field testing and market testing to determine it's
viability for job seekers. According to the Department of Labor, Bureau
of Labor Statistics, the Sept. 2003 study shows an unemployment rate of
6.1% and a total unemployment rate of 9.8% when including discouraged
workers, marginally employed, and temporary jobs completed. These
dismal rates are seen to be uncomfortable and suggest high degrees of
difficulty in landing a job in today's market. Individuals unable to
use the most effective techniques of job hunting are having a more
difficult time in finding employment.
The CEO of Netmap Software, Inc. Ananda Chakravarty, states that the
software has been introduced to several major networking support groups
in the area and has been received with high acclaim and strong interest
in it's features and capabilities. The software already has a strong
base of beta testers evaluating the product and building suggestions
for taking the CVTracker(TM) to the next level. The first release, a 5
Megabyte downloadable, CVTracker LITE v. 1.8.9 is available on several
download sites as well as the company website, www.cvtrack.com.
The uniqueness of the software in the market comes from it's focus on
the job seeker as the prime beneficiary of the tool. Unlike job boards
and recruiters, the software focuses on empowering the job seeker to
level the playing field and manage their relationships with employers.
CVTracker gives the job seeker a fundamental edge in automating and
building their personal networks, managing their employer
relationships, and measuring their activities against a set of goals.
CVTracker provides a tool to leverage the personal network and sell a
job seeker's skills to employers
The tool maintains strong sales force automation functionality that
provides the job seeker with fast, reliable access to information about
who, what, when, where, and how they interact with contacts, companies,
and potential connections within organizations they target. More
importantly, the tool does not become a victim of mass mailing methods
or spam distribution . Instead, the CVTracker is designed to facilitate
direct contact with individuals through phone, meetings, or email
enabling a professional outward appearance by the job seeker and
maintaining proper job etiquette and courtesy.
Included in the tool is a pipeline system that assists the job seeker
by fast dashboard displays of their progress for all open positions in
their personal database, goals and metrics setting, and standard
organizer calendar/reminder functionality. The tool also provides
suggested next steps for the job seeker to take in building their
contacts at firms they are interested in working for as well as
document control over resumes, cover letters, and other documents. The
CVTracker full version will be released in mid to late November with
import/export capabilities from MS Outlook®, MS Excel®, or
formatted text files.
The tool assists the job seeker in taking advantage of personal
networking with proven results in the 70-80% range, while job boards
have placement rates of 3-6%. The CVTracker™ lets the job seeker use
proven methods of job campaigning rather than limit themselves to
complacency by using job boards alone. "Jobs are not available on a
silver platter. The job seeker has to do some legwork if he intends to
find a job. The CVTracker is the tool to make sure he's wearing running
shoes" states Mr. Chakravarty.
